17th Edition Wiring Regulations - Update

Purpose

For electrical contractors and maintenance electricians, to ensure delegates are able to apply the current regulations in day to day situations e.g. sizing of conductors, checking disconnection times etc. (Note;- All installations designed after 30th June 2008 are to comply with BS7671:2008).

  • Changes to protection for safety (Basic Protection & Fault Protection)
  • Changes to selection and erection of equipment
  • Changes to Inspection and Testing requirements ( Not Practical )
  • Changes to Special Installations & Locations (Part 7)
  • Documentation and Certification
  • Changes to Appendices

    • *Note: Changes are from BS 7671:2001

    Course duration:

    1 Day plus separate 1 Hour Assessmentt
    Handbooks, Pens & Exercise sheets will be provided.

    Current Edition of BS7671 is also required (£65.00.) and can be provided if required.

    Certification

    Flexi Tech certificate of competence will be awarded on successful completion. * EAL or C&G assessment and certification is available providing delegates can prove they have achieved a formal qualification # in BS7671 since June 2001. [# 2381 or 2330-07 or 2330-08 or 2360]

    C&G On site assessment via GOLA is available and can be arranged to suit your shift patterns.

    EAL On site assessment is available as a paper based assessment normally 1 Day per month, dates can be provided on request.
