Purpose

For mechanical contractors and maintenance fitters, to ensure delegates are able to complete defined electrical tasks competently in day to day situations e.g. Replacing components ‘like for like’ and have successfully completed Part 1.

  • A.C. Motors (Reduced Current Starting)
  • AC Motors (Inverters)
  • Basic electrical concepts
  • Testing Isolated AC 3 Phase Motors (Refresher)
  • Testing Live AC Motors and Circuits
  • Single Phase Motors
  • Reading and Interpreting Drawings
  • Introduction to the Selection of Live Conductors
  • Inspection and testing requirements
  • Documentation
  • Course duration:

    6 days
    Handbooks, Pens & Exercise sheets will be provided.

    Assessment

    Practical competence assessments and a 2.5 hour short answer question paper.

    EAL CSC award ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE SKILLS FOR NON-ELECTRICAL CRAFTSMEN AND TECHNICIANS
